The deadline for registration of interest in the NCEM Composers Award 2012 is on Friday 2 March at 5pm.
This is your chance to hear your work performed by The Tallis Scholars in Durham Cathedral and recorded for broadcast by BBC Radio 3!
This prestigious national award is presented by the National Centre for Early Music and BBC Radio 3 in partnership with The Tallis Scholars. Young composers are invited to write a new a cappella piece suitable for a cathedral performance by The Tallis Scholars.

On Thursday 17 May 2012 a shortlist of entries will be work-shopped by The Ebor Singers and composer Christopher Fox along with the composers at the National Centre for Early Music in York. That evening the pieces will be performed in front of a panel of judges at a public concert in the Church of All Saints, North Street, York, after which the winners will be announced.
The winning entries will be premiered by The Tallis Scholars on Saturday 2 June 2012 in Durham Cathedral and recorded for broadcast by BBC Radio 3.
